Matoi Ryuko's Scissor Blade Prop

Finally, Im starting to upload more of my propmaking results and process! This time I would like to show you my last creation, the Scissor Blade from KILL la KILL, used by Matoi Ryuko!

It is made of balsa wood, I created the blueprint using a coordinates method (finding X and Y on a grid) and then draw it with a pencil, all manually.

Then I cut the main form on the balsa pieces using a jigsaw. With the body ready, I started crafting the wood with a "paper cutter" or "hand cutter", until it got the final details. After some sanding process, I added some layers of Gesso and sanded it again.

Finally, I applied 3 layers of signal red spray paint, let it dry... and applied 2 layers of Metallic red spray paint!!
